Please don't sing sad songs for me,
Forget your grief and tears.
For I am in this perfect place,
Away from pain and fears.
I'm far away from hunger,
And hurt and want and pride.
I have a place in heaven,
With the Master by my side.
My life on earth was good,
As earthly life's do go.
But Heaven is so much more,
Than anyone can ever know.
My heart is full of happiness,
And sweet rejoicings, too.
To walk with God is perfect peace,
With joy forever new.
