June Has Been in Heaven Since May 27, 2006

Never, Never Give Up

I'm pleased to tell all of you today that June's progress has continued. She was able stand, sit in a chair for about an hour and (drum roll please) she walked across the room with a walker. The applause are deafening, yea! I sure wish I could have been there for that! Now, the nurses are worried she may be staying up to long. Tomorrow they will continue to teach her how to get out of the bed safely, lowering and raising herself out of the chair and walking with the walker.

June wants REAL food now. They must forbid the kitchen from using spices due to some kind of regulation. She says it's just not good.
If things continue on track they will plan to leave the hospital by Friday. Mom and Ernie will remain in Lexington, at the St. Agnes House until the sutures are removed.

Shari arrived today around 1:15pm. She made her way up from Key Largo, FL and will remain with the folks till Sunday. Still not sure how or when June and Ernie will return to Newnan.

Ernie is feeling much better about his love, June.
