PT BeginsLast night was not one of Junes better nights. The night nurse conveyed to us that she had not rested well and that she had been in a lot of pain. PAIN LEVEL 8 = HURTS ALOT!The pain control doctor came by and upped the pain medicine and assured her that it was ok to use the button. Just after he left the radiologist came in and took an x-ray of her chest. She cringed in pain as the tech lifted her slightly off the bed to place the film under her back.
The physical therapist came by just as the x-ray tech was leaving. The PT tech's were determined that it was time to get moving. Mom was not eager to take on this challenge, but the tech's were encouraging and explained the need for getting up. Ernie and I decided it was time for us to take a coffee break. Mother made it to the standing position within a reasonable amount of time. When we returned she was back in bed and feeling pretty good about her accomplishment this morning. June will have to do the physical therapy again this afternoon.
