June's Journey

June Has Been in Heaven Since May 27, 2006

Not Much Change

I spoke with mom and Ernie this morning and they are doing fine. The doctor had come by and said they have not found any infection thus far. They have been able to control her temperature with tylenol. They said that was a good thing. It appears the temperature fluctuations are post-surgical and stress induced. They insist that mother call for her pain meds at the exact time needed and not to wait for the pain to become overbearing. That would help stabilize the extremes of pain she is experiencing. They would be doing an ultrasound this morning, running additional test and checking for other sources of complications. There has been a hint that the hip joint may need to be placed, that is still not a fact as of yet. Pleural fluids continue to be drained every other day or so.

I do not believe they will be leaving Lexington this Friday (21st) as I thought last week. Ernie said that he would let us know if and when he felt there was an urgency for any one to come to Lexington. Currently, they're satisfied that things are OK and they just need your continued prayers.
